The MEG is an unmissable venue not only for its exhibitions admired by its public, but also for its Café where you can meet daily to spend a gourmet and convivial moment.
At the Café du MEG, we offer a generous and tasty Italian cuisine, with a hint of Mediterranea and a constant touch of exoticism. Just like the Museum and its multicultural theme, the taste buds open up to other cultures as well, adding here and there a spice, a herb, a seasoning inviting you to travel.
With fresh and elaborated minute products, the cuisine at the Café du MEG is healthy and seasonal, mainly steam-cooked for more flavour. The autumn and winter signature dish of Antonietta Riviello, the dynamic thirty-year-old who runs the Café, is risotto. The seasonal menu, which also offers the meal of the day, is adapted to vegetarian, vegan and lactose-free diets.
The Café du MEG is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, providing all services from breakfast to aperitif, including lunch, tea and brunch on Sundays. During the summer months, you can take advantage of the sunny terrace, a peaceful space in the heart of the dynamic Plainpalais neighborhood.
