MEG X Green Film Festival : Mundurukuyu - The forest of the fish women

A film series addressing important and topical social issues. Auditorium. Sunday 22 March from 4pm to 6pm.

The MEG's Sunday film screenings continue for another season, focusing on essential and topical issues that echo the permanent exhibition.

Documentaries, fiction films and animated films addressing these themes are screened free of charge in the Museum Auditorium one or two Sundays per month.

The MEG is once again partnering with the Green Film Festival for a screening.

Film: Mundurukuyu - The Forest of Fish Women
On the banks of the Tapajós River in the Amazon, the forest of fish women reflects Munduruku mythology, according to which humans, at the beginning of the world, transformed themselves into forests, plants and animals. In the daily life of the village of Sawre Muybu, the spirits of the forest are not only ancestral spiritual forces, but an integral part of the family.

The screening will be followed by a round table discussion related to the film.
The discussion will be held in French.
