As part of BiblioWeekend 2024, a weekend dedicated to libraries throughout Switzerland, the theme of which is "Food for thought", we're taking a look at Geneva's Eritrean community, in collaboration with the association of intercultural mediators, AMIC.
The library will be exceptionally open this Sunday from 11am to 6pm and Eritrean coffee will be served continuously to visitors.
Programme :
10am: Workshop to discover Eritrean cuisine, with the making of the "injera" pancake and its accompaniments (COMPLETE)
13.30am: Flash visit to the permanent exhibition: Jebena
2pm: Meeting with Natan Getachew, hero of the book "Khat, journal d'un réfugié" by Ximo Abadía (Khat, diary of a refugee)
3pm: Storytelling: story time
4pm: Film: Semret
