MEG X Groove'N'Move : Common Flow
Saturday 28 September, 19:00
Groove'N'Move takes over the MEG for an evening. Foyer. Saturday 28 September from 7pm to 9pm (doors open at 6.30pm).
MEG is teaming up with the Groove'N'Move Festival for a disconcerting evening.
Inspired by the concept of 'Conscious Clubbing', Common Flow offers a friendly space to explore movement in a subdued atmosphere. The aim is to let go and give way to spontaneous movement without constraints. The session, first set in motion by the facilitator, is then guided by the DJ.
For the second time in a row, DJ Jon Kwizera will be offering an original set based on a selection of MEG's sound archives. Bewitching, danceable sounds, with multiple sonorities: the promise of an exceptional journey, beyond the frontiers of time and space.
The aim of the Common flow meetings is to create new spaces for expression and exploration: friendly spaces that give everyone the freedom to express themselves through movement and free dance, alone or in a group. To create a meeting place at the crossroads of several movement disciplines, for spontaneous practice without constraints or judgement.
These meetings are inspired by the concept of "Conscious Clubbing": a clubbing atmosphere, subdued, without recreational substances!
The aim is to let go, reconnect with yourself and others, share a simple moment and enjoy the music, movement and dance.
Who's it for?
For lovers and explorers of dance and movement. For those who want to dance solo or in a group, or simply take part in a moment of sharing. No need to know how to dance!
What's involved?
The sessions take place barefoot or in socks, and are non-verbal from start to finish: they are essentially guided by music, to allow for a total sensory journey and leave plenty of room for bodily expression.
DJ: Jon Kwizera
Facilitator: Sébastien
At the start of each session, the facilitator accompanies the movement to create a flow of exploration. It's then up to the DJ to guide the journey through a variety of sounds.
