Closing concert of the Extra Muros residency at the Cave 12

The Extra Muros Geneva 2021 residency leaves the walls of the Museum for one evening, on the occasion of an electronic music concert, organized at the Cave 12. Saturday 12 February from 9:30 pm.

The Archipel de l'AIMP is an ephemeral band formed by the artists of the Extra Muros residency, hosted this year at the MEG. After two weeks of exchanges, experimentations and productions in a short-lived studio, the quintet - composed of Cosmic Neman, Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Maria Spivak, Prins Emanuel and Nabihah Iqbal - leaves the walls of the MEG for a concert during which the musicians will give free rein to their sound explorations as well as their sense of improvisation.
A group specially created for the occasion, the quintet will introduce you to their creation, which already promises to be difficult to classify. Studio recordings, field recordings, so-called traditional instruments, sampling of records, ethnomusicological archives, instrumental improvisation ... a unique compositional and collaborative work to discover.
In the first and last part of the evening, they will be accompanied by sound selections respectively orchestrated by Madeleine Leclair (MEG) and members of the FLEE collective.
