«Climat» : work in octophony to inaugurate the new Sound Gallery

The MEG is inaugurating a new diffusion space in the Foyer (level -1), transformed into a Sound Gallery. In this space, an octophonic sound system has been installed to broadcast sound compositions produced on the basis of the MEG's sound archives.
The very first work to be present there is a composition by sound artist Amandine Casadamont. The work is called «Climat». It incorporates some forty excerpts from recordings kept in the International Archives of Folk Music (AIMP) of the MEG.
To mark the launch of this new space dedicated to music and sound, the MEG invites choreographer Beatriz Navarro to improvise a danced solo on the work «Climat».
