Saturday 21 May 2022, 18:00, 19:00

Storytelling with music for children and families by Deirdre Foster and Soledina Camesi. Library. Saturday 21 May at 6pm and 7pm.

She is a person, she stands and tells. Stories of beings that transform, change shape and colour, mutate. As everything is linked, everything communicates. Turtles fly, dolphins walk and chickens philosophise. Perhaps we humans will find in these stories the paths to our own transformation.

If we can imagine it, we can achieve it.
Two half-hour storytelling performances, all audiences, from 5 years old from 6 to 6.30 pm and from 7 to 7.30 pm.

The tales will be told in French.

Speakers :

Storytelling: Deirdre Foster

A graduate of the Serge Martin Theatre School, Deirdre Foster enters the storytelling with her audience like a guide in a magical city, leading a group of curious people in wonder, hooked on the images and surprises that their encounter inspires. In this way, they travel, as if in a dream, and perhaps travel around the world.
In addition to her work as an actress, with a university certificate in drama and training in the art of storytelling with various renowned artists, Deirdre Foster has been practising her passion for the past twenty years for the Compagnie du Chat de Bla, enriching its repertoire of traditional tales revisited.

Music: Soledina Camesi (harp)

A multi-faceted artist, Soledina Camesi will introduce you to the magical sounds of the harp with great sensitivity.

Born in Ticino into a family of painters and actors, Soledina Camesi discovered the harp at the age of four during a concert in a small village church. From that moment on, a special relationship was created between the little girl and the instrument. A passion for music and a passion for the arts in general will shape the artist she has become.

Currently a graduate of the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (Master of Harp, specialising in pedagogy), she trained with internationally renowned harpists such as Chantal Mathieu and Letizia Belmondo. At a very young age, she won prizes in international competitions.
