Affiche du film avec un homme dans une forêt

Within the "Meetings for reflection and action", a meeting that gives voice to peoples impacted by environmental degradation. Auditorium. Sunday 3 April 2022 from 4 to 6 pm.

As part of the "Meetings for reflection and action" on care, repair and sustainability, MEG and the Festival du film vert are joining forces to offer you a unique meeting and screening.

The island of Borneo is home to one of the world's largest tropical forest areas. Palm oil producers and large timber companies are clearing the forest without limit. Faced with this massive deforestation, the Dayak-Bahau people have decided to send three emissaries to track down the felled trees. They are accompanied in their investigation by the director Balint Revesz, who lived for several years with this indigenous community.

The screening will be preceded by a discussion with Alice Matthew, an indigenous representative from the Dusun community in Borneo.

Consecutive English/French interpretation will be available to the audience.

Speaker: Alice Matthew, indigenous representative of the Dusun, Borneo community.

Translation: Claire Moretto, coordinator of the Green Film Festival Geneva.

Moderation: Yannick Gilestro, cultural and scientific mediator at MEG.

Activity accessible to a non-French speaking public.

In partnership with the Festival du Film Vert.
