All over the world, indigenous peoples are organising themselves to tackle environmental degradation accelerated by global warming. This tour invites you to discover, through works exhibited at the MEG, how contemporary indigenous art denounces the causes of environmental degradation and encourages us to question our relationship with the environment and possible alternatives.
The tour will continue at the heart of the SAUVAGES exhibition, which is dedicated to the behind-the-scenes creation of Claude Barras' animated film. This feature film, inspired by the commitment of Swiss activist Bruno Manser, is an environmentalist and ecological tale denouncing the ravages of deforestation and intensive exploitation by palm oil companies in Borneo, Southeast Asia.
A two-part visit, organised in collaboration with the MEG.
In the presence of Claude Barras and Nicolas Rouiller, curator of the exhibition.
