Adults group visits

Guided tours of the exhibitions and the building can be booked for private groups all year round.
Reservations are compulsory for all groups, with or without guided tours.

Guided tours : Bookings must be made at least two weeks before the desired date.

Unguided tours : Inscriptions at least 48 hours before the desired date.

  • Maximum 20 people per group.
  • Duration of the visit from 1 to 2 hours depending on the offer.
  • Price of the visit from 120 CHF (1 hour) to 220 CHF (2 hours).
    Please note : The price of the guided tour does not include the entrance ticket to the temporary exhibition. Admission to the permanent exhibition is free of charge.
  • Guided tours available in French, English, German and Spanish.

In 2024, the permanent exhibition will close temporarily between 5 August and 31 October 2024. The revamped exhibition route will be inaugurated on 1 November. Guided tours and workshops resume on Tuesday 5 November 2024.

Rates and conditions

Tickets price for the exhibitions

9 CHF Full entrance fee per person for the temporary exhibition for groups of less than 12 people.
6 CHF Reduced admission price per person to the temporary exhibition. This rate applies to groups of 12 or more people and entitles one accompanying person to free admission. This rate also applies to people in the AVS scheme, unemployed persons, students, apprentices and persons aged 18 to 25.
Free of charges   Access to the temporary exhibition is free of charge for young people up to the age of 18, members of the SAMEG, members of ICOM and AMS, disabled persons and their accompanying persons, persons with a "20 ans/20 francs" card, the Swiss Museum Pass and associated institutions (Raiffeisen) and persons with an AI card and their accompanying persons.

Prices for guided tours

The prices of the different visits do not include entrance tickets to the temporary exhibitions.

120 CHF Guided tour for a group of 20 people. Duration 1 hour.
220 CHF Guided tour for a group of 20 people. Duration 2h.

Payment is made at the MEG ticket office on the day of the guided tour.

Conditions

  • The guided tour starts at the time indicated in the booking form.
  • Any delay will affect the duration of the guided tour.
  • A delay of 20 minutes will result in the cancellation of the guided tour. In this case, the guided tour will be invoiced to the organiser.
  • The guided tour is invoiced if it is not cancelled or postponed 48 hours before the time of the visit.
