Closed on Mondays.
The ticket office is open from 10:00 to 17:45.

The library is closed Saturday through Monday and on bank holidays.
A box for the return of borrowed books is located in the Museum garden across from the front entrance.

LIBRARY

Current visitor regulations govern access to the The Visitor's Regulations [PDF 0.1 Mo].
Animals are not allowed inside the Museum, except for utility dogs.

Temporary Exhibition

Costs for the temporary exhibition

Retired (AVS), unemployed, groups from 12 people, employees of the municipality of the City of Geneva, municipal representatives, families: one or more children (under 18 years old), accompanied by one or two adults.
Please make sure to bring a proof of your reduction status when you visit the MEG

This ticket gives the visitor access to the temporary exhibition with commentary according to the program of activities. 

Free of charge

Young people up to the age of 25, members of the SAMEG, members of the ICOM and the AMS, AI card (width an adult companion), recipient of social assistance, recipient of a health insurance subsidy (category 1 only), "chèque culture", Raiffeisen, Swiss Museums Pass, Geneva City Pass, Museum Pass, teachers preparing their visit on presentation of proof of a guided tour reservation.
These tickets are only available at the MEG ticket office upon presentation of the document proving you're qualified for a free ticket (no reservations by telephone).

The temporary exhibition is free of charge every first Sunday of the month.

Partners with advantages

People who are members of the Club de la Tribune de Genève receive a free ticket.
These tickets are only available at the MEG ticket office upon presentation of the document proving you're qualified for a free ticket (no reservations by telephone).

A ticket already purchased online cannot be refunded or exchanged for a free ticket at the MEG ticket office.
