General terms and conditions for sales

1. Scope

The General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to ticket orders and event booked on MEG website https://meg.shop.secutix.com/list/otherProducts.

MEG reserves the right to amend the GTC at any time. The GTC version existing at the time of the order shall apply.

2. Acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions

By ticking the box "I have read, understood and accepted the general terms and conditions", the customer declares to accept these terms and conditions without reservation, to be at least 18 years old and to have the legal capacity or parental consent to place an order on site or online for MEG products.

3. Prices

Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). The price indicated at the time of the order is decisive.

MEG is not subject to VAT.

Postage and sending costs are charged additionally depending on the nature of the packages and the shipping method. They are indicated at the time of the order.

The tickets sale for admission to the Museum and for activities session (concerts, shows, individual visits, educational workshops, etc.) is processed within the limits of the quotas allocated to each offer.

Upon receipt of the tickets, the client shall verify that they comply with the order.

4. Methods of payment

Payments must be in Swiss francs (CHF).

Cash Payment

Cash payment is only possible at MEG reception desk.

Prepayment

Tickets and reservations shall be paid when ordered/booked. Orders and reservations are not effective until payment is received.

Electronic payment

MEG accepts Visa, Mastercard and Postcard.

Payment security

For any payment made when ordering/booking on MEG website, MEG uses a secure online payment system.

Invoice purchase

MEG reserves the right to accept invoice payment. If applicable, all costs associated with the collection of overdue receivables shall be paid by the customer.

In case of unsuccessful reminders, the invoice amounts may be assigned to a collection company.

Reminder costs interest recovery and file fees will be handled with respect to the rules applying at the City of Geneva.

5. Sending by post

The home delivery costs are indicated separately in the basket, in addition to the tickets or reservations price.

6. Delivery time

The delivery times indicated on the MEG website are purely indicative. They start at the order, respectively, in case of prepayment, upon receipt of payment.

In case of impossibility of delivery, the concerned order is cancelled, the customer is informed and any payments already made are refunded.

If MEG is unable to meet the delivery date, the customer is entitled to cancel the order/reservation in writing. The cancellation is valid if MEG receives it in writing before the sending of the order.

Further claims based on delayed delivery or even partial non-performance of the delivery are excluded.

7. Printing of the e-ticket

The e-ticket is only valid if printed on white A4 paper, blank front and back. The event entry is subject to validity control of your e-ticket via printed codes.

A good print quality is necessary. Partially printed, soiled, damaged or illegible e-tickets will not be accepted and will be considered not valid. If any incident or poor print quality, the customer must print his or her e-ticket again. To check the good print quality, it is imperative that the customer verifies that the information written on the e-ticket and its barcode are legible.

8. Validity of the e-ticket

Tickets issued in the form of E-tickets cannot be taken back, exchanged or refunded.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the data relating to his order is correct.

MEG declines all responsibility in case of theft or loss of tickets including within MEG premises. In case of theft or loss of tickets, no reimbursement will be made.

MEG is not obliged to check the identity of the person presenting the E-ticket to verify that it is indeed the ticket purchaser, nor to verify the authenticity of the E-ticket insofar as the imitation or copy cannot be unequivocally identified during the entry control at the event. If the holder of an e-ticket is refused during an access control, there is no right to a refund of the paid price.

9. Reduced fare

Each beneficiary of a reduced fare must be able to present a supporting access control document. MEG reserves the right to require it at the entrance to the event. The presentation of an invalid document will result in a denial of access.

10. Practical information

Placing in the auditorium or conference rooms is free, on an as-available basis (official security gauge). It is recommended to arrive no later than 15 minutes before the beginning of the event. A ticket is required even for free sessions (to be collected at MEG Reception).

11. Booking modalities for guided group tours

Articles 11 and 12 of the general terms and conditions apply to the booking and sale of guided tours for adult groups, young people and student done on MEG website.

Reservations for guided group tours are compulsory and must be made at least three weeks before the visit date.

Reservations are processed as far as possible.

Reservations for group visits for adults, young people and students can only be made using an online form under "Public", available on MEG website: http://www.meg-geneve.ch

Online bookings are only made in accordance to the timetable mentioned in the booking form.

Payment is made at the booking time.

MEG may require presentation of the payment confirmation on the visit day. Please bring it with you on the visit day.

Cancellation or postponement of the visit must be made no later than ten working days before the booked date. After this deadline, no changes or refunds will be made.

All refunds will be made by bank transfer and must be requested in writing using the Request for Refund of Tickets Purchased or Ordered on the MEG website. If your request complies with the general terms and conditions, the refund can be made within 30 days following the expiry of the validity period. Refunds requests cannot be received or processed at the ticket office. Control and reimbursement are carried out exclusively by MEG administration using the above form.

12. Fraudulent entry fee use

MEG will deny access to the site to any bearer of an entry fee with a code having already been scanned. Only the first person presenting an entry fee will be admitted. This person will be presumed to be the legitimate bearer of the entry fee, the purchaser being legally responsible for the copies made, in particular from his or her mailbox.

13. Loss or theft of tickets

MEG declines all responsibility in the event of loss or theft of tickets, including within the MEG premises.

In case of loss or theft of tickets, no reimbursement can be requested.

14. Compliance with security rules

Within the event, clients undertake to respect the rules of good conduct and safety set by the organiser.

15. Force majeure

MEG cannot be held responsible for any non-performance due to force majeure. In case of event cancellation, MEG decides on the rules for tickets reimbursement.

In any case, only the ticket price will be refunded and no damages can be claimed.

16. Data protection

All personal data are considered confidential. The necessary information for the management of the order/reservation is subject to computer processing and may be communicated to associated companies within the framework of the order management or the service provision. By accepting these GTC, the customer consents to the use of his/her data as indicated above.

17. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss law shall apply to the legal relationship between MEG and the customer. The jurisdiction place is located in Geneva.
