I wish to buy a ticket in advance without going on the internet, is that possible ? Show content

You can buy your entrance ticket for temporary exhibitions in advance at the MEG ticket office. It is valid until the last day of the exhibition.

The tickets for activities, visits and all other specifically dated events cannot be exchanged nor reimbursed, except for an exceptional reason as defined by the General Conditions.

Am I allowed to circulate inside the MEG with a buggy ? Show content

You are allowed to circulate with a buggy in all the areas of the Museum, including the exhibition galleries.

Am I allowed to enter the MEG with an animal ? Show content

Animals are not allowed to enter the Museum, except for utility dogs (guide dogs and/or service dogs).

What is the “Pass Musée” ? Show content

I would like to take pictures in the exhibition gallery. Am I allowed ? Show content

Visitors are allowed to take pictures and videos inside of the Museum, except for the works exhibited during the temporary exhibitions with a mention «no photo».

Every request to photograph or film at the MEG for professionnal purpose needs to be submitted for authorization to the MEG’s Communications Officer at least two weeks prior to the projected visit. For the terms, please consult the section referencing the press.

 

I lost an object... Show content

Why should I answer the survey entitled «Connaissance des Publics» ? Show content

The City of Geneva conducts surveys to better understand how the MEG is meeting the needs of the public. For further information.

I would like to make a donation, how should I proceed ? Show content

Anyone interested in donating an object to the MEG must do so in writing. Your letter should be directed to the Collection Manager in charge of the geographical area from which your object originates. Photographs must accompany all donation propositions. When the object is of interest to the MEG, the Collection Manager in charge will contact you within a fortnight to start the administrative procedure. Only written requests will be examined. The Museum will not accept any objects deposited at the MEG ticket office.

I would like to have an appraisal done on an object. Is it possible ? Show content

The Museum does not give appraisals. For those interested in an appraisal, the MEG invites you to contact independent experts or auction houses.

I would like to breastfeed my child at the Museum, is it possible ? Show content

A calm and discrete breastfeeding space is available upon request. Please refer to the MEG ticket office on the ground floor.

I need a wheelchair to visit the exhibition. Show content

The MEG provides wheelchairs for your visits. A deposit of a valid piece of photo identification is required. A wheelchair is subject to availability. Please refer to the MEG ticket office on the ground floor.

May I leave my luggage in a locker during my visit ? Show content

You are allowed to leave your luggage inside the large lockers situated in the basement (floor -1) depending on locker availability.
